Name and personal journal: Gabi, [personal profile] potexaco

Contact: AIM: POTexaco

Player's Age: 23

Character/Series: Tron, Kingdom Hearts

Character Type: Secondary Party member

Tamer Class: Soul

Character appearance: Here, Although I will be using icons from Legacy, Betrayal, Revolution and Uprising to supplement as there aren’t many icons of him in game.

Character age: While it is unknown exactly how old he is it can be approximated that this copy of the original Tron is 10 years old. While Tron may be only 10 years old he is physically and mentally much older, probably somewhere in his 20‘s. As a program he was purely created, he didn’t “grow up”, so even if he was only a day old he would still look the same and act fairly similarly too.

Digimon partner(s)/Spirit/Evolution Line: V-Mon – Magnamon – Knightmon - Imperialdramon Paladin Mode

Character history:

Tron was originally a defence program developed by Alan1 (Alan Bradley) in the world of The Grid. Around 10 years before the events of Kingdom Hearts Ansem the Wise traveled to the world of The Grid and found a few remarkable programs in one of the Encom computers, and when no one was looking he snuck in and copied the system, bringing it back to his own home in Radiant Garden and creating his own huge computer system. What he didn’t realise upon taking the programs was that a couple of them were corrupt. Realising the nature of the MCP Ansem the Wise disabled the program before it could do more harm than good. As soon as Xehanort under the guise of Ansem began running the computer he rebooted the MCP and it began to take control of the system and forced all security programs, including Tron, to fight for their life on the Game Grid. Most of these programs were derezzed and after a while only Tron was left.

10 years later 3 mysterious programs were thrown into the prison cell with him by Sark, which took Tron by great surprise. He was sure he was the last defence program left but here were 3 other programs who had challenged the MCP and Sark’s totalitarian rule over the system. After introductions are made he figures out that Sora, Donald and Goofy are users and insists on helping them leave Space Paranoids before they can feel the full wrath of the MCP. The terminal to get them back to the real world is within their reach, but has no power as the MCP cut it off years ago, so their first mission together is to restore power to the interface terminals. After Sora breaks them out of the Pit Cell they head to the canyon where they can activate a power core and restore power to the terminal.

Before they head back to the real world though Tron has a request of them, and asks if they can find his user so he can get the password to the D.T.D., where all the original system data is and where any restricted files are. The last time Tron fought the MCP many of his program functions were disabled, and he hopes that by accessing the dataspace he can restore his abilities to full power. Once he does that he believes he can defeat the MCP once and for all and restore the system to how it should be. Discovering that there may be information on the Heartless and Organization XIII within the D.T.D. Sora agrees to help and return the favour to Tron. However, when they find out that Tron’s user is Ansem the Wise Sora and gang are taken completely by surprise, and while a little unsure they agree to help still.

While Sora leaves to look for the password Sark throws Tron back into the heat of the games, and while he will uphold the MCP’s wishes and won’t kill Tron, that doesn’t mean he can’t barely keep him alive. When Sora finally escapes from the game grid himself he finds Tron half dead in the cell. While Donald’s healing magic helps it can only do so much for a program that needs to restore their data, and it’s even more imperative that they make it to the dataspace and unlock the D.T.D. so that they can save Tron from derezzing. The make it in time and Tron is restored, but unlocking the D.T.D. gives the MCP access to all the data within it as well. He finds an emergency destruct program for Hollow Bastion and begins to activate it. Tron rewrites the password to the D.T.D. so that the MCP can’t find any other useful data in the dataspace, and while it won’t keep the MCP out forever it will at least buy them some time to defeat the hostile program which is being loaded into the I/O Tower. Together they defeat the program, and the threat of the MCP has been kept at bay. With his functions restored Tron goes off to try and defeat the MCP once and for all after saying goodbye to Sora.

His efforts are shown to be for naught however as the MCP once again throws him on the game grid and makes him fight for his life while he sends countless heartless to Hollow Bastion and corrupts the towns defence program. In the meantime Cid starts working on developing an eradication program to help Tron take down the MCP once and for all. The race begins to the I/O tower and the computer, both in the system and in the real world, both parties fighting through hordes or heartless. Leon and Aerith are able to successfully load the program into the computer, and Tron is able to receive it onto his Identity Disc, along with a power booster and flight information for the Solar Sailor. Now they just have to upload the program into the MCP, but that’s much easier said than done.

They make way for the Simulation Hangar where they commandeer a Solar Sailor and take it to the CPU where they hope to find the MCP, but of course nothing is ever that easy and they’re attacked by Heartless on the Solar Sailor, and the weight slows the ship down and almost stops it completely. Sora and Tron are able to defeat the Heartless though and get the ship back up and running to full speed. Of course though, what would a main villain be without their lackey though? The party takes on Sark and defeats him once and for all and leaves the MCP defenceless...or so they think. The MCP gives new life to Sark, uploading all of his functions to the program and making him grow to the size of a giant. Between a final confrontation with Sark and uploading Cid’s Eradication Program to the MCP Tron and Sora are finally able to create a free system for all.

However, Tron realises that without a core program the system cannot function to its fullest, at least not until it’s been restored to its former glory. With a heartfelt goodbye to his friends and a promise made that he will see him again he jumps into the systems core to access the full power of the system and restore it. But, he’s not gone for good, as when Sora, Donald and Goofy return to Hollow Bastion he’s now the one running the system, and is their link to all its information. He’s also able access the towns archives and finds video footage of Hollow Bastion when it was first built. Seeing the former glory of their home everyone is able to remember its original name: Radiant Garden.

After everything is said and done, after the Organization is defeated Tron learns of his user, Ansem the Wise’s fate and learns of how Xehanort had taken over for Ansem, and is relieved to know that his user had not been corrupted as he had thought. However, this means he has no user and while he can live without one he decides that he really would rather have one: losing a user is like losing faith in god to a program. Plus, without a user he feels disconnected from the outside world, like he no longer has a purpose. As Leon uses Ansem’s computer the most he asks if he would like to be classified as his user, and with some thought Leon agrees. Tron also does everything he can to provide data that will help restore Radiant Garden and to help the users that once helped him.

Character personality:

Tron is a human in progress, in a way. He was originally programmed to be essentially a protector of freedom, and while this is still his ultimate purpose along the way he’s learnt how to feel, how to grow, and how to have fun.

At first Tron was a no nonsense program; he was very serious and thought everything through logically. Everything was a straight line, no deviation just a directive, and while he was in no way cold-hearted about it it it was simply the only way he knew. He was a computer program, that’s just the way things were. Even before learning how to feel he was extremely strong willed and noble, constantly fighting as much as he possibly could against the tyrannical MCP to create a free system for all. True, one could say the only reason he did that was because of his programming, but when you get down to it the way a human acts is the exact same way, it’s the way our minds are “programmed”. He’s also extremely persistent, refusing to give up and give in. Even in spite of having been trapped in jail and on the game grid for years he still held the hope that one day he could take down the MCP, and he kept fighting no matter the odds stacked against him.

While Tron doesn’t quite understand what it is and how it works he is extremely selfless, always putting the wellbeing and needs of others before his own. When given that same selflessness in return he is astonished and somewhat confused, not realising that simply by being himself he is breaking his laws of logic. He is also loyal to a fault, doing whatever it takes to help those he cares for and willing to stand by them through thick and thin. He is also very, very kind-hearted, even if he doesn’t realise it himself. Even without knowing the users in Hollow Bastion he put everything on the line to save the town by fighting the hostile program which was to self destruct and destroy the entire place.

Over time he has learned what friendship is and what it means to feel, and he is still very curious about it, constantly trying to mimic user behaviour to better understand it himself. It’s even gotten to the point where he will willingly hug his friends and even dance, despite the fact it in no way helps him towards his directive.

Digimon partner personality:

V-mon is a very serious, brave and determined digimon, constantly pushing himself to his limits. Years ago his village was destroyed in Kurata’s raids in D’ango forest. He had been able to run off beforehand to avoid the attack, but he feels that because of his cowardice his village was killed. He’s now out for revenge against Kurata, and will do anything in his power to obtain it. He’s always looking out for those weaker than himself, hoping that someday he will have done enough for the world to repay for the lives of his friends and family. He doesn’t like to talk much, especially about his past, but he does have a soft spot for kids and will often open up when around them, letting the child inside that he’d locked away out.

Character abilities:

As a computer program Tron can easily communicate with any technological items and any data and coding freely. This basically means he can change or repair system data when it’s needed and can also access any information at any given time. Due to the nature of the Digital World most of these abilities will be nullified, however he will still keep his ability to repair minor breaks in data. This will manifest as basic healing abilities, able to help speed along the process of major injuries like broken bones and able to completely heal small injuries, like small cuts. He will also be able to fix items, like a broken pair of glasses or a door off its hinges by reconstructing and repairing the base data. He also has limited electrokinesis, able to summon bolts of lightning to attack enemies with but not able to control it more than attacking a targeted enemy with it.

He is an extremely skilled Disk/Chakram wielder and motorcycle driver, having never been defeated in the games despite being trapped in them by the MCP for many years. When teamed up with Sora he can also use his special attack, Complete Compilement, which allows him to use and manipulate data streams to attack enemies.

Upon entering the Digital World Tron will still technically be a program, but given the nature of this Digital World in comparison to his system he will have many human properties, such as the ability to smell, taste, and the need to eat and sleep, which are things he hasn’t had to worry about before.

Sample RP:

He wasn’t going to lie, the thought of leaving the system, even just for an hour, had always been a bit of a temptation.

He wanted to see the user world with his own eyes, wanted to meet the users who had helped him out so much and wanted to look them in the eyes as he thanked him. He wanted to smell the flowers Aerith spoke of so fondly, taste the spicy wasabi that only the brave dare touch that Yuffie kept bragging about (apparently she could eat it by the spoonful), wanted to help Tifa and Cloud find exactly what they were looking for, not just supply what information he knew. He wanted to help his new user, Leon, not just by helping draft plans and supplying information, but by helping to rebuild his home and feel the satisfaction after a long, hard day of work. Heck, in a roundabout way Radiant Garden was his home as well, and he wanted to live it, not just read about it in records.

Yes, he was reluctant to admit, that every now and again he dreamed and hoped that he could be human. The world within the computer was beginning to bore him without the companionship of Sora, Donald and Goofy, and he’d almost started to wish that the MCP would reboot. If anything it would give him something interesting to do. Point made though, he wanted out.

This was not the way he had imagined it to be.

The instant he’d slammed into the ground he’d had to bring a hand to his mouth to stop his insides from churning and coming out. Was this nausea he was feeling? His head also throbbed, a groan of pain being let out. He was almost tempted to say that he was experiencing what users called a ‘hangover’, but that wasn’t possible, he hadn’t even touched a drop of alcohol in… well, in never.
Why was he out of the system? Never mind the why how in all the worlds had he even gotten out? Nothing was making sense! Finally, he took a look around at where he was, in the middle of a junk pile of a gloomy city. Leon had told him his world had fallen, but he’d always been very scarce on the details. Was this really the once beautiful Radiant Garden? There was no way…this wasn’t possible. Something just felt completely off.

He needed to find his user, and he needed to find him now.

Sample D-Comm Network Post:

I am in need of…a bit of assistance.

I’ve left my system, somehow, and while as fascinating as it is to see the user world I’ve…never left the grid. No one has, and I would be lying if I stated I wasn’t unsure or nervous of the potential repercussions. Now, it appears users can contact each other through these devices, is it possible that someone knows of a user Leon? Or Sora, Donald and Goofy? Any help is greatly appreciated.

End of line.
